BOBBY SPENCER 2009 - 2023
Everyone connected with Cheshire Youth Cricket would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Bobby Spencer, who passed away this week aged just 14.
Bobby played representative cricket for Cheshire’s County Age Group squads from the age of 10 and was much loved and respected by all his teammates and coaches.
A talented all-rounder, Bobby’s cricket reflected his personality – passionate, brave and with a boundless energy. A dynamic batter and accurate swing bowler, Bobby also took the gloves on occasion for Cheshire, following in the footsteps of his father Ian, who kept wicket for the County with distinction at both youth and senior level.
Bobby played his club cricket at Widnes CC, where his younger brother Freddie and sister Annie are also members. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and teammates at the club, and all those who played with and against him.
All our thoughts are with Ian, Cheryl and the Spencer family at this desperately sad time.

Bobby's funeral is on Friday 21st July 12 noon at St Luke’s Church, Farnworth Street, Widnes, then Widnes Crematorium, and afterwards at Widnes Cricket Club. Everyone is welcome.
