Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) report - 27 June 2023
Cheshire Cricket has today received a copy of the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) report at the same time as the general public. The report makes for difficult reading for everyone associated with the game and we are now taking the opportunity to digest the report and its recommendations in full.
Cheshire Cricket welcomes the publication of the ICEC report and would like to endorse the ECB statement and apologise unreservedly for the experiences of anyone who has faced discrimination in cricket or felt marginalised or excluded.
Cheshire Cricket stands against discrimination in all its forms and is committed to ensuring that cricket is a game for everyone. We share ECB’s ambition to make cricket the most inclusive sport in the country and we look forward to the opportunity to engage fully in the consultation process in the coming months to drive further positive change across cricket.
