'Who’d have thought a 200 mile move and a tag in a Facebook job advert would bring me here?
Cricket has been a game I’ve enjoyed since school, so to be lucky enough to have a full time job, coaching and working with a variety of people in this sport is fantastic. Being able to visit schools and give pupils their first experience of cricket is a great feeling, especially when they leave with a huge smile and tell me cricket is their new favourite!
If you would ever like to chat, contribute ideas or already have a thriving female section at your club please get in touch and I look forward to working in partnership to help grow the women and girls game even further across the county.' Kerry

Joanne Herbertson

'Work/ play/ volunteering in sport is all I've ever really wanted to do! However, saying that if I have the pleasure of listening or seeing someone show a real passion for anything; I'm drawn in immediately. Working for Cheshire Cricket Board is a privilege because I get to surround myself with passionate people every day.
For those who already know me, I'm not shy of speaking so if you have any questions please come and have a chat. And for those I will hopefully get to know in the future, I look forward to sharing ideas, learning from each other and moving forward together to continue to support women and girls' sport and see it go from strength to strength.' 'Cricket has always been a huge part of my life so I feel very lucky to now call it my job. This role allows me to combine my love of working with young people and cricket. Visiting schools and providing pupils with a positive experience in cricket is the most rewarding aspect for me.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any help or support with the cricket at your club or school.'
