Recreational cricket clubs in England and Wales affiliate to the ECB via their County Cricket Boards. The Cheshire Cricket Board Club Affiliation Agreement sets out our commitment to supporting each of our affiliated clubs in their development aspirations. For a small annual fee – paid to the Cheshire Clubs’ Cricket Committee – clubs can access a comprehensive package of support, with the full list of benefits available to view here.

As custodians of the game, ECB and Cheshire Cricket Board aspire to ensure all clubs and leagues provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. To support clubs in achieving this, ECB have introduced some standardised terms and conditions of affiliation which proactively ensure clubs adopt the latest game-wide policies, making them safer, welcoming and more inclusive for members and guests.

Ahead of the 2024 season, clubs wishing to become (or remain) affiliated to Cheshire Cricket Board must sign the Club Confirmation Form. This allows clubs to formally accept the terms and conditions, which link primarily to safeguarding, discipline and anti-discrimination. These conditions are set by the ECB and apply to all affiliated cricket clubs in England and Wales, and failure to adhere to them may result in club affiliation being refused, suspended or withdrawn.
