Girls Performance
Our player pathway provides playing opportunities for girls aged between 7 and 18 to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Each year, at the conclusion of our Excellence courses some players will be considered for selection into our representative squads and Girls Academy. You can find more information about these opportunities below. If you have any questions about our performance pathway, please contact the girl's performance lead, Jessica Lewis on jessica.lewis@cheshirecricketboard.co.uk
Girls County Cricket
We run county U11, U13, U15, U18 Development and U18 county teams. The teams are selected during Spring.
Girls District Cricket
Girls District runs alongside the county teams providing more opportunities for girls to play. These teams are selected during Spring.
Girls Academy Programme
Our girls academy programme sits at the top of our player pathway and is a unique opportunity for a small group of players. The programme is an invite only programme that runs from October- September each year.
North West Thunder Academy
Cheshire is one of three counties that make up the North West Thunder. The Thunder side was established as part of the ECB's new regional hub structure and made its debut in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in 2020. The Thunder academy sits underneath the senior Thunder squad and provides further playing opportunities for young players.
