Club Affliation

CLUB AFFILIATION PACKAGE

The Cheshire Cricket Board ‘Club Affiliation Package’ sets out the Board’s commitment to supporting each of our affiliated clubs in their development aspirations. Clubs are required to sign the Club Confirmation Form and pay an annual fee (see rates below) to the Cheshire Clubs Cricket Committee. In return, each club will have access to a comprehensive package of support, with benefits including but not limited to:

  • 1-2-1 Club Support from a CCB Development & Coaching Officer and the Board’s Clubs & Participation Manager
  • Opportunities to share best practice via online and face-to-face Development Forums
  • Subsidised and/or free places on ECB Coach Development courses and workshops
  • Subsidised and/or free places on ECB Umpiring and Scoring courses
  • Eligibility to be considered for the ECB County Grants Scheme
  • Support towards ECB Clubmark accreditation and the Safe Hands Management System
  • Support to establish, develop and maintain a thriving Women’s and Girls section
  • Support and advice around facility development
  • Eligibility to participate in the Cheshire Integrated League Structure (CCCL, CCL) and both junior and senior cup competitions organised by Cheshire Cricket
  • Membership of the Cheshire Association of Groundsman (CAG) and access to the County Pitch Advisors (CPAs) and CCB Ground Hire initiative
  • Dedicated support around All Stars Cricket, Dynamos Cricket, Women’s Softball Festivals, and other ECB National Programmes
  • Access to safeguarding resources and support from the County Safeguarding Officer
  • Opportunities to Reward and Recognise club volunteers through the ECB Grass Roots (Cricket Collective) Awards

What do we (CCB) expect in return?

Clubs should complete the Club Confirmation Form annually before 13 April

There are a small number of requirements for clubs wishing to be affiliated to Cheshire Cricket Board. In addition to confirming acceptance of the game-wide ECB terms and conditions, clubs are expected to fulfil the following criteria:

Payment of the annual affiliation fee (see rates below) Access to full range of benefits as listed above
Regular (monitored) attendance at Club Development Forums organised by CCB Opportunity to access information and share best practice with other local clubs
Promotion of CCB and ECB courses and initiatives (including the #GetSetWeekend and Grass Roots Awards) Volunteers and officials are upskilled to better support your club. Subsidised places on coaching and officials courses.
Completion of CCB / ECB Audits (player, volunteer numbers) and Surveys upon request CCB can better understand the health of the club network and commit further resources where required to aid development.

NB) Failure to adhere to the terms and conditions or support the additional requirements above may result in affiliation being refused, suspended or withdrawn.

How much does my club need to pay?

Affiliation fees range from £25 and £75 per year, depending on the number of senior (adult) teams the club has registered within the calendar year.

  • Clubs with one senior team - £25
  • Clubs with two senior teams - £50
  • Clubs with three (or more) senior teams - £75

For clubs competing in the Cheshire Integrated League Structure (CCCL, CCL), the annual affiliation fees will be collected via their respective league. For all other clubs, payment should be made upon receipt of an invoice from the CCCC Treasurer.

Associate Membership

If your club / team is based in Cheshire and would like to receive support from Cheshire Cricket Board, but cannot meet the conditions and requirements of Affiliation as set out above, then you may wish to apply for Associate Membership
