Women’s County Team Returns

WOMEN'S COUNTY TEAM RETURNS

Cheshire Cricket is thrilled to announce the reformation of the Cheshire Women’s County Team for 2025! The team will compete in Division 1 of the new Tier 3 structure in both the One Day Metro Bank Cup (50 over League) and the Vitality Blast (T20 League) competition. Additionally, Cheshire will be participating in the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup, facing Lincolnshire in the first round.

When commenting on the reformed Women’s County team, Di Totty (Vice Chair of the Cheshire Cricket Board) said: “I am absolutely delighted to see that once again Cheshire will have a Women's County Team. The new county structure places us in Tier 3, and this is a crucial building block in the continued evolution of women’s cricket in Cheshire. Within our league structure, we have many talented players, young and experienced, and I encourage all players to aspire to represent our County. I look forward to supporting the re-formed Cheshire Women's team and wish them success in their first season.”

We are excited to showcase the incredible standard of cricket played across Cheshire through our newly reformed team! This team is open to everyone, not just past or current county players - we encourage league cricketers to join us and represent Cheshire.

To kick start this exciting journey, we are hosting a re-launch event on Wednesday, 15th January at Warrington CC. Whether you're a player, a potential volunteer or simply someone interested in learning more about the team, then we invite you to join us. This event will provide a platform to share information about the team, our plans for the upcoming season, and the various opportunities to get involved.

We look forward to seeing you at Warrington CC on 15 Jan 2025! Please book your space here and be a part of this exciting adventure with us: https://booking.ecb.co.uk/zbdbga
