ECB Umpire Tutor

ECB Umpire Tutor

ECB are looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic individuals to support the delivery of a new entry-level Umpiring Course, which is due for release in 2023. The (voluntary) role of ECB Umpire Tutor is now open for applications, with a closing date of Monday 23rd January. Through this process, ECB hope to identify a diverse cohort of talented presenters who can bring the new course content to life in an engaging manner and help inspire the next generation of cricket officials.

Candidates do not need to be qualified umpires themselves, but should have a basic understanding of the laws of the game and of current umpiring practices. ECB are keen to hear from people with experience of teaching, training or tutoring in a related field, and those who share a passion for developing people. Mandatory training commitments include the completion of the ECB Tutor Course, a relevant safeguarding qualification and a current (ECB) DBS check.
