Dave Knowles - Chairman
'I have been Chairman since an SGM held in 2020 (just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic).  Having been with the Club as player since we were founded 8 years ago, I first joined the Committee to look after our Social media platforms around 5 years ago.  After our previous Chairman, stepped down, I put myself forward without knowing what was ahead!  It's been a challenging start to my tenure as Chairmain, with COVID not allowing any cricket in the first season, to having to contend with Return to Cricket regulations set out by both the ECB and BCEW (Blind Cricket England & Wales - our governing body).  However, I have been pleased to be able to get back onto the cricket field with a great team of VI cricketers from a variety of cricketing backgrounds/abilities and sight levels.  Some of our players have previously played either for or with the England Visually Impaired team, or have played VI cricket at high levels nationally.  The most important thing is that all our players aim to have a great time playing cricket and take the opportunity to get out, have fun, and do what they enjoy.'
