Established in 2012 and Registered (No. 1147271) with the Charity Commission.

The Trust is proud of its association with the Cheshire Cricket Board but is run separately by its Trustees.

Trustees confirm support for EDI within Cheshire Cricket and offer the Trust’s assistance/support as needed to achieve fairness for all.

The Trust invites donations and bequests from followers of Cricket in Cheshire to support cricket for everyone.

The Trustees continue to support bona fide individual cases of financial hardship to ensure that all children had an equal opportunity of enjoying and progressing in the game.

The Trustees agreed support for sign language training for members of the Disability Squad to enable them to better engage with fellow members of the squad who had heating impairments.

Following a request from Northwich CC, in view of the Club’s commitment to hosting Cheshire Youth Cricket’s matches and activities, and without wishing to set a precedent for other applications, the Trustees agreed to donate £250.

It was agreed to contribute 50% towards the total cost of Cheshire kit supplied from Surridge Sport for the Cheshire Disabilities squad. The players contribute the other 50%.

Cheshire Cricket Board YoYo Tests - Fundraising for Charity
The Trustees thank all the Girls and Boys attending the Excellence & District Coaching Courses for taking part in the YOYO TESTs and to their supporters for their generous donations towards the three Charities chosen by the Cheshire Cricket Board - The Cheshire Cricket Trust, Cardiac Risk in the Young, and Place2Be. The final total reached over £12000 and will be shared among the Charities.

Defibrillators
From 2018 - Spring 2020 the Cheshire Cricket Trust offered Cheshire Clubs which have no access to a defibrillator, £500 towards the purchase of a defibrillator of their choice. This offer was suspended in May 2020. Clubs directed to the Club Cricket Charity for support READ MORE and the London Hearts Charity

The Cheshire Cricket Trust offers a limited number of Cheshire Clubs which have no access to a defibrillator, £500 towards the purchase of a defibrillator of their choice.

The Trust provided funds to help support the employment of a Coaching Officer working with the Cheshire Cricket Board to help promote the development of Women and Girls cricket in Cheshire

HEART SCREENINGS FOR CHESHIRE CRICKETERS
In association with Cardiac Risk in the Young, the Cheshire Cricket Trust offers Cheshire Cricketers between the ages of 14 and 35 an opportunity of a Heart Screening over the weekend of 27/28 October 2018 at The Grange School, Hartford.
The cost to the Trust of each screening is £50 but the Trust is offering an opportunity of one of upto 200 Heart Screening procedures by entering a BALLOT at £5 an entry.
The Ballot will take place on 23 July after which the successful 200 entrants will be advised of the procedure for booking a timed appointment during that weekend.
The screening process is explained on the Cardiac Risk in the Young website.

Laura and George coaching in Kenya with Cricket Without Boundaries
To support a coaching trip to Kenya with the charity Cricket Without Boundaries introducing children from deprived areas to cricket. Cricket Without Boundaries mission is to use cricket as a tool for social development. The Charity delivers projects in Africa and the UK through volunteers.

To help promote the Trust our logo is displayed on the sleeve of County Youth Teams shirts.

A donation from the Trust helped the players meet the cost of cheshire logo emblazoned shirts and caps for the county's physical disabilities representative side.

Applications should be supported by a Cheshire Cricket Club Official and sent to the Cheshire Cricket Trust, c/o 2 Moss Farm Cottages, Moss Farm Leisure Complex, Northwich CW8 4BG, accompanied by as much independent evidence of financial hardship as possible.

Girls Specialist Coaching Course at Tytherington HS
A donation from the Trust helped to provide this 6 hour course at a much reduced cost continuing the Trust's support for the Cheshire Cricket Bord's on-going promotion of the Girls and Women game in Cheshire.

The Trustees made a donation to the Cheshire Groundsmen's Association with a request that it be used specifically for training and would be reflected in a reduction in course fees.

Gaby & Hannah Coaching in St Lucia
With help from the Trust, Gaby and Hannah, who are both members of the 2015 Cheshire Women's squad, travelled to the Caribbean island to work with other coaches supporting cricket development for underprivileged children.

Support for Cheshire Women's Cricket League
The Trustees offered to support individual hardship cases in the purchase of coloured clothing by players whose clubs have chosen to wear coloured clothing in competitions where the use of a pink ball allows teams the choice to play either totally in white or totally in coloured clothing.

Yo Yo Tests raise funds for Charity
DETERMINED youngsters pushed through the pain barrier earlier this month (March 2013) to complete the gruelling "Yo Yo Test" in a bid to raise funds for two excellent causes. Registered charities Children With Cancer and the Cheshire Cricket Trust are the joint beneficiaries of the now annual fundraiser, which this year included players from 19 Excellence and District Courses around the county.
The total amount raised was £9,500.

FORMER ECB Disability Cricketer of the Year joins Cheshire Cricket Board with help from the Cheshire Cricket Trust
FORMER ECB Disability Cricketer of the Year Chris Edwards has joined the staff of Cheshire Cricket Board Limited. Thanks to help from the newly-formed Cheshire Cricket Trust the 19-year-old from Caldy, who has represented the England Learning Disability team since 2008, began his part-time post with the Board over the Easter 2012 break.
Commendation for Chris from a Cheshire School Teacher:
'Just had to let you know what a brilliant coach Chris is. He's fantastic with the children and really knows his stuff. He has really impressed everyone at our School.'
