ECB's re-designed Concussion Guidelines for the recreational game.
There are no changes to the protocol around concussion management and return to play. The updates are purely cosmetic with a refreshed design to make the information clearer and more accessible.
The key points of these guidelines are still:
- If in doubt, sit them out.
- Anyone with a suspected concussion should be assessed by a Healthcare Professional (a doctor or calling 111) within 24 hours.
- There should be NO return to competitive cricket before 21 days following a concussion (including at least 14 days symptom free).
