Cheshire County League is delighted to announce its first League Charity Partnership
Across the final weekend of June (Fri 23 - Sun 25) the Cheshire County Cricket League are strongly encouraging clubs to raise funds for
PREVENT BREAST CANCER
the only UK Charity funding research solely aimed at preventing breast cancer for future generations (visit preventbreastcancer.org.uk). The aim through this special weekend is to support their work by raising funds through activities at your club. There are many ways you can get involved:
Use your Friday evening junior fixture or junior training to raise funds through wearing pink. What about selling pink lemonade for children? Perhaps a pink prosecco/pink gin evening may be possible to arrange.
Pink cake sales, pink bottle raffle (where all bottles are wrapped in pink?)
Pink sweep stakes on the games being played at your club (number of runs scored, highest partnership)
Pink fancy dress
There’s plenty more scope for your own ideas and initiatives, and you can email Emma Slater via paintcricketpink@yahoo.com for more information.
All monies raised will help the charity develop their crucial work.
