CCB 'Following On' Development Course,

Cheshire Cricket Board is delighted to announce the return of its award-winning ‘Following On’ Course for boys and girls aged 16-19. ‘Following On’ aims to grow the volunteer base for affiliated cricket clubs and enhance candidates’ skills across a range of disciplines, including coaching, umpiring, scoring and grounds management. The course is delivered by professional staff from Cheshire Cricket Board and is limited to a maximum of 24 places.
Course itinerary:
8.45am – Registration
9am-12pm – Coaching Children
12pm-12.30pm – Lunch (food is provided)
12.30pm – 2pm – Pitch Preparation (supported by the Grounds Management Association)
2.15pm-5pm – Umpiring and Scoring
5.15pm - Close
Upon completion of the course, candidates will gain the ECB Support Coach and ACO Young Cricket Officials qualifications. There will be also be a post-course ‘log book’ to complete (optional), enabling candidates to record any volunteer hours they complete with their clubs, which in turn may support their wider development and enhance their chances of future employment.
