Lindow CC Grounds Vacancy - 2nd Ground - Wilmslow Phoenix Sports Club - Styal
Lindow CC is looking to expand its grounds staff to meet the increasing needs of a growing club.
They are looking for a groundsperson (with experience) to lead a team of voluntary and paid staff to manage their 2nd ground opposite styal mill, just off the airport link road.
Hours are an average of 10-15 hours per week to oversee the efforts of overseas players and others working to meet the demands of the facility and quality standards appropriate for fixtures.
The square is the main focus as the outfield is cut by a contractor. Boughton County loam is used, with a healthy 5 inch solid profile. The square is 10-12 tracks plus junior outfield pitches. The role is to lead, and add to quality to ensure that the facility continues to improve to meet the needs of a progressive club, with significant development plans.
Salary will be competitive, working around the weather, an enthusiastic team, and good equipment and systems.
Pitch rotation and renovation regimes are important - and a high level of guidance and support will be provided.
