cricket in the County.
The bulletin will be published weekly during the season, and monthly in the close season.

|8 Dec 2013||NEW COACH ED PROGRAMME HERALDS SAFEGUARDING COURSE CHANGES||The new Coach Education Programme sees a few changes to the Safeguarding & Protecting
Children courses: Existing Coaches who need to renew their safeguarding training will be able to do so by completing
a Safeguarding Young Cricketers' (SYC) e-module and assessment.
These Coaches will first need to register via the Cheshire Cricket Board website using
a REGISTRATION FORM specifically intended
for existing coaches renewing safeguarding training via this Safeguarding Young Cricketers' (SYC) e-module.
This registration form will be available periodically on this website.
Once registered these existing Coaches will be sent a username/password to access % complete the e-module
and receive an assessment.
Existing or New Volunteers (e.g. Club Welfare Officer) Existing volunteers due for SPC training renewal, or new volunteers who are not coaches and who require SPC training will need to attend a Sports Coach UK Safeguarding & Protecting Children (SPC) course.
These courses will be held after Christmas, and will be advertised on this website.

|22 Aug 2013||FUND RAISERS RECEIVE ACCLAIM FROM CHARITIES||The Cheshire Cricket Trust and Children with Cancer UK presented cricket equipment provided by
Spyder Bats of Tunstall to U16 Cheshire Player, Ben Slater, at Kidsgrove
CC, in recognition of his Fund Raising achievement as part of the sponsored YoYo Test held during the Cheshire
Cricket Board's Winter Coaching Programme. Over 200 children took part in the sponsored event which raised over
£10,000 shared between the two Charities. Ben was one of 10 boys and girls who raised over £100 each. Ben and all
the children who raised funds for the Charities were thanked by Cheshire Cricket Trust trustees Karl Bamford and
David Sharp, & Julie, Arthur and Matthew Ashmore representing Children with Cancer UK.

has retired from umpiring after 61 years.
Charlie born in Newton in 1920 umpired his last match at Mottram CC at the end of the 2012 Season.
